Having successfully closed over 10,000 real estate and business transactions throughout 24 years of private practice, Attorney Shara Kamal has become one of the most highly sought-after real estate attorneys in the Chicagoland area.

 

She oversees a high-volume real estate closing practice representing first-time homebuyers and sellers, FSBOs, seasoned investors, banks, retailers, and wholesalers in residential and commercial real estate transactions throughout Illinois.

 

In 2023, Attorney Kamal joined the distinguished ranks of the American Bar Foundation Fellows. Membership in the American Bar Foundation Fellows is by invitation only and limited to just 1% of licensed attorneys nationwide. Fellows are recognized attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars whose careers reflect an extraordinary dedication to the highest principles of the legal profession.

 

In 2022, she was recognized as a Top 100 Black Lawyer in the Nation. She has also consistently earned recognition for her outstanding professional standing among Illinois attorneys through Avvo.com.

 

As a 2018 Fellow of Organizing for Action, her community service efforts have focused on promoting homeownership and business ownership opportunities. She also proudly serves as a Founding Member of the Obama Presidential Center community initiative.

 

Attorney Kamal is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.. She currently serves as Sea Scouts Club Committee Chair at the Jackson Park Yacht Club and as General Manager and Counsel for the Chicago Sphinx Basketball Academy. She is also actively involved with the University of Chicago Laboratory Schools community, volunteering and serving on various committees, including the Black Family Forum and the Parents Association.

 

She represents First American Title and several other nationally recognized title insurance companies as a title insurance agent for real estate transactions.

 

Attorney Kamal earned her Juris Doctor degree from University of Illinois Chicago John Marshall Law School and her Bachelor of Arts degree from Columbia College Chicago. She remains actively engaged with both alumni communities.
